The Beginning

My Story

Hi, I'm Steve, the owner of T Jacob Transformational Health. In 2012, my son was born and I had to make some big changes for the sake of my family. I was an athlete in college, but in my 30's I let myself go. I worked hard and played hard, but I wasn't taking care of my health and wellness like I should. It wasn't a priority.

Fast forward to 40 years old and I balooned to almost 300lbs. I was going down a bad path and my family genetics weren't helping. I was on blood pressure medication and I was taking acid reflux pills almost daily. 

​

Now, with a baby on the way, I knew it was time to get serious and make a change in lifestyle. I started working out regularly again. This helped me feel better and was great for my mental health. I even lost a few pounds, but it wasn't until I changed my diet and nutrition that the real transformation occurred. I worked on eating healthier, getting more sleep and continued working out. Within 9 months, I ended up losing close to 70lbs! I was back to my college weight!

I took the slow and steady approach and it worked. Over the next decade, I kept the weight off and maintained my muscle mass because I did it in a consistent, sustainable way. I can truthfully say, I'm in much better health in my 50's than I was at 40. I'm off the blood pressure medication and I haven't had an acid reflux pill in years. 

​

Because of the impact on my life and my love for helping others, I became a certified nutrtion coach, so I could help others on their health and wellness journey. In the last 5 years I've worked with an incredibly diverse group of people: athletes, doctors, nurses, teachers, engineers, grandparents, stay-at-home moms, entrepreneurs, and even nutritionists (they need help too!)

With the success I've had personally and with the impact my coaching has had with my clients, I decided to start T.Jacob Transformational Health. 

 

There are so many who are in a similiar situation that I was in, people who were once in shape, but let themselves go because self-care wasn't a priority with all of life's other obligations. Maybe you've gone on restrictive fad diets and lost some weight, but weren't able to keep it off because it wasn't sustainable. You're not alone!
